Halloween Sherbet Punch

BOO!!!
Halloween!!!  It's the time of year when imaginations rule.  Spooky!  Scary!  Squirmy!  Decorations are appearing along with the pumpkins!

If your family's  Halloween Party is this week, a beverage for "children of all ages" is Orange Halloween Sherbet Punch!  It's an orange frothy beverage that contains only 2 ingredients.  Orange Sherbet & 7- Up.  (Diet 7- Up works just fine).  What could be easier?  This brew is very tasty & very colorful.  Put those 2 ingredients on your grocery list!  Remember disposable cups, too!  Now find your punch bowl & ladle!

Halloween Sherbet Punch

Soon it will be the weekend when reaching into a bowl of witches' eyes (peeled grapes) and another bowl containing the guts (stirred cold slimy gelatin) is FUN!!!  It's also the time to quench your goblins thirst with Halloween Sherbet Punch!

For so many years this beverage has been a fave in my fam.  There is not too much preparation going on here.  Find your Punch Bowl!  Remember to purchase the 7-Up Soda and the Sherbet.  Trying to cut a few calories, I use Diet 7-Up.  For the Halloween Brew, Orange Sherbet is the flavor and the color of choice.

Halloween Sherbet Punch!!!

Every fall during mid October our Halloween decorations find their way out of hibernation.  At this time of year I also always remember the Halloween Sherbet Punch.  It's a yummy, frothy, orange beverage that we, especially my sons & their friends, would always enjoy whenever our family and friends (both young and old) got together.

Our punch bowl's ladle would be in constant use.  The stack of cups would need to be replenished.  And ... the punch bowl's ingredients, too.  :)  There are two ingredients to this delicious brew:  Orange Sherbet & 7-Up Soda.  O.K., I use the Diet 7-Up to save a a few calories here.

The quantity of needed ingredients depends on number of guests.

The directions are easy:

1. In a large punch bowl place 1 Quart of Sherbet.
2. Pour (2) bottles of chilled Diet 7-Up in the punch bowl, pouring some over sherbet.
3. Stir a little to mix ingredients.
4. The result - a frothy top and softened sherbet. Mmmm!

Sherbet Punch

The season of graduations and outdoor celebrations is here. It requires a delicious assortment of finger foods, entrees, snacks and accompanying beverages. At our gatherings a family favorite for all ages has always been Sherbet Punch. Sherbet and 7-Up Diet soda are the two ingredients. Whenever we had a celebration this beverage was present. The children, who are now adults, would look forward to seeing our punch bowl filled with foaming, floating, softened orange sherbet. The disposable cups and punch bowl ladle were ready to be used.

The first time that my family enjoyed this beverage was when our oldest son graduated from the fourth grade and it was served in the cafeteria after the ceremony along with cookies. We enjoyed it so much that at our Holiday Buffet the following December our punch bowl was filled with Orange Sherbet Punch. To this day the young adults remember our large punch bowl filled with the orange frothy delicious mixture.

Ingredients:
(3) 1 Quart containers of Orange Sherbet (can be Raspberry)

(5-6) Bottles of Diet 7-Up/7- Up Soda (refrigerated)

Method:

In a large punch bowl place 1 Quart of Sherbet. Then pour (2) bottles of chilled 7-Up in the punch bowl, pouring some over the sherbet. Stir a little to mix the ingredients. It will result in a frothy top and softened sherbet. Ladle into cups adding some of the softened sherbet. Enjoy!!! Replenish the 7-Up and sherbet as needed.
