Colorful garden along driveway |
Yesterday, just as my DH & I were walking past the colorful Zinnias on the side of our driveway, a butterfly gracefully flew past us. Perhaps it was a Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly! It landed on another Zinnia in the garden on the side of our home and we watched it move from one flower to another. Who can resist a good photo op? Up the driveway we went! The smart phone was in hand and a photo was taken:

So pretty - the flowers and the butterfly. It's beautiful here too but 102 every day this week!
The photo of the butterfly is really special. I've long suspected you were a nature lover. Only a trained eye would have caught him. Have a great day, JG. Blessings...Mary
Great pic--pretty flowers and butterfly too. Glad your weather has cooled off. It has been the coolest summer here that I can remember in many years, almost like fall most days. In fact, this area was the coolest in the country yesterday. Amazing! I'm back to blogging and enjoyed your post, playing catch up now. Have a good week!
Stacey- It's always interesting to see what the Zinnias attract. Sometimes Hummingbirds, too. 102°F is hot!
Mary- In my area cardinals, robins, deer, a fox, chipmunks & squirrels wander in & out. :)
Pam- With all of the flowers blooming, it's gorgeous outside. You've had fall-like weather all summer.

I'm waiting for the weather to cool down here. I'm not a hot weather girl and a little heat goes a long way. Zinnias are one of my favorite summer annuals and I love that they attract butterflies.
Cathy- So happy it's cooled down here. Lots of rain today, so the lawn will need to be mowed on Monday. :)
